I finally got my hands on my Lorac Mega Pro Palette. I’m so impatient, and to make matters worse it was delivered a day late.
So, now that I have it and I’ve had an opportunity to swatch it, test it and stare at it, I’ll let you know what I think.
Let me first say, this will be more of a swatches and first impressions post than a review. Also, this palette is probably not going to be re-stocked, so I’m pretty hesitant to post anything about it, BUT a few other bloggers and I are giving one away, so I wanted to let you know what you’d be entering to win.
Let’s pretend for a second that you care about the packaging; it’s the same as the other Lorac Pro palettes. Thin but surprisingly sturdy, cardboard with a magnetic closure.
And there are all of the colors. 16 Matte and 16 Shimmer.
As you can tell from the swatches, some of these are much better quality than others.
Lilac, Black, Indigo and Caviar are all a little powdery and patchy, with Lilac having very little pigment.
Most of the shimmers are awesome, Sand seems to have a lot of glitter, so it doesn’t want to stick.
I’d definitely recommend using a good base with this palette, as that would probably make a huge difference.
I haven’t tried that yet, which is why I’m not giving a full review.
Overall, the color selection is pretty good and the shades are beautiful. It looks like there are a lot of white/off white shades, but really they’re all different tones and finishes.
If you got this palette, you probably love it. If you missed it, enter to win one!
