I recently received Pixi Beauty’s spring collection, which includes all of their recent collaborations. Today we’re going to talk about their Aspyn Ovard collaboration, which includes three Glow-y Powders and an Eye Accents kit that includes a Lower Lash Mascara and Clear Brow Gel.
The Glow-y Powders are soft highlighters that give a soft, luminous effect. These are not the shimmery, glittery highlighters that have been popping up lately, rather, these give that metallic, gorgeous lit from within look that I love.
The three Glow-y Powders are:
- London Lustre This is my personal favorite, it’s a white-champagne that is perfect for my skin tone.
- Santorini Sunset This is a more golden champagne that is also really gorgeous that I’ll love in the summer.
- Rome Rose This is very pink and looks more like a sheer blush to me, but depending on your skin tone, could work as a pink highlight. The swatch on my skin tone looks like a sheerer Nars Orgasm so if you like that blush, you’ll like this.
The formula is awesome, it’s so buttery and smooth; it blends into the skin flawlessly. It is not the least bit powdery on the skin, and it can be applied sheerly or built up but it never looks glittery or shimmery, it always has that metallic, almost wet-look.
The Eye Accents Kit has a Lower Lash Mascara and Brow Tamer.
The Lower Lash Mascara has been my go-to lately because it’s seriously awesome. It separates and lengthens your lower lashes without making them look crazy or clumpy. It doesn’t smudge or flake and it lasts all day. I’ve really been enjoying it so far. I’ll definitely be purchasing another tube when it runs out.
The Brow Tamer is a clear brow gel that does a nice job of keeping my brows in place. I usually wear tinted brow mascara because I’m too lazy to do my brows most days, but I do like this for the days when I bother to fill them in. It’s not as bulletproof as the ABH Clear Brow Gel but honestly, what is other than superglue?
Overall, this is a collab that truly nailed it. I’m always wary of collaborations because they just seem to go wrong, but I’m really enjoying all of these products. I’ll be reviewing the other collabs over the next couple of weeks. This is by far my favorite, so I wanted to share it first!
Have you tried any of the Pixi Beauty Spring launches?
