Pixi Peel and Polish | Lactic Acid Scrub Review

*Products mentioned were sent for review, opinions are my own*

Today’s review is going to be a short one, because I don’t think a scrub needs a long review. If you want to read a really long review, check my previous post for the ABH Subculture review. This is going to be all about the Pixi Peel and Polish Scrub.

What is the Pixi Peel and Polish scrub?

Pixi Peel & Polish is an enzyme peel. What this does is resurface your skin so you’ll have smoother, softer skin with a healthy glow. This uses fruit enzymes to loosen the dead skin cells, lactic acid to gently exfoliate, cellulose peels and sugar extracts to polish and lift away dullness.

Because this is both a physical and chemical exfoliant, it’s recommended that you leave it on your skin for 2 minutes before rinsing. If you want extra exfoliation, massage the product into your skin after the 2 minutes is up.

It says it can be used in the AM or PM 2-3 times per week. I prefer to always use products like this at night and I use it 3 times per week. I have scarring and dull, dry skin and this truly helps with that. I’ve added this into rotation in my skin care routine. This is also safe for all skin types.

Overall, I really like it. If you’re looking for a nice lactic acid scrub, I’d say this is it. It’s easy to use, non-irritating and non-drying. I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t irritate it. My dry skin feels hydrated and healthy after I use this.

You can find it on Pixi’s website, if you’d like more information.

One last thing; I use a lot of different products and chemical exfoliants, such as lactic acid and glycolic acid. If you’d like a post about the differences, which are safe to use together, and how to layer different products, like retinoids, vitamin C, etc., comment below!

Thanks for reading!
